TED STOFFER 25-26-27.06.2010

The class is taught in three parts. Warm up: informed by yoga practice. Centering and Isolation: informed by principles of Tai-chi, Tango and tools Ted Stoffer has developed throughout his career as a dancer, choreographer and teacher. This part of the class offers different techniques to bring awareness to moving as an integrated whole and in isolated parts. These techniques are used to generate movement and challenge dancers to search outside their habitual movement patterns. Combination: Participants are given a structure in which to apply the information they’ve learnt. They are encouraged to create and sustain a physical ambiance inside defined parameters. Awareness is brought to group dynamics and the beginning basis of instant composition is established.

Workshop is open to intermediate and advanced dancers
